• Maria Filippakopoulou was born in Athens, Greece in 1973. She studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts with Professor T. Patraskidis and A. Christakis and photography with Professor M. Baboussis. During her studies she received scholarship and prize by the State Scholarships Foundation. Furthermore, she studied Drama at the Drama School of the National Theatre of  Greece and she completed postgraduate studies- MA in Theatre Arts/ Performance at Goldsmiths College, University of London. She also studied German at the University of Athens. She has shown her work in solo and group shows in Europe and America. Her work can be found in private collections and museums in Greece and adroad. She lives and works in Athens, Greece.
